Description & How To Use
Meet the Trvlr Vacuum Bag, the travel compression bag with an electric air pump built right in. Plug in the included USB-C cable to a power bank, wall charger or laptop and watch your clothes compress in seconds. No separate pump to buy, charge or carry.
Pack More Into Less
The pump lives inside the bag's valve. Plug in any USB-C power source and it starts compressing. Nothing extra goes in your luggage.
Compressed All Trip
The airtight zipper keeps your clothes compressed for the entire trip, so the space you save on the way out stays saved.
Room For The Whole Trip
The 20L capacity fits 10+ days of clothing, saving up to 60% of the original volume. Enough to fit a full trip into a carry-on and potentially skip checked baggage fees.
Fresh, Dry & Protected
Waterproof, odour-proof TPU keeps your clothes sealed from spills, moisture and unwanted smells. It also doubles as a dirty laundry separator on the way home.
No Battery, No Restrictions
The pump runs straight off USB-C power with no lithium battery inside, so it is fine in both carry-on and checked luggage on any airline.
How To Use
- Fold or roll your clothes and place them inside the bag. Leave a little room at the top so the zipper can close cleanly.
- Close the airtight zipper fully. Run your fingers along the whole length to make sure it is sealed end to end.
- Plug the included USB-C cable into the pump on the front of the bag, and connect the other end to a power bank, wall charger or laptop.
- There is no button. The pump starts as soon as it has power and pulls the air out. Compression takes a matter of seconds.
- Unplug the cable once the bag is firmly compressed. The airtight seal keeps it that way.
- To unpack, open the zipper and the bag will let air back in on its own.

FAQ's
How does it work without a separate pump?
The electric air pump is built directly into the bag's valve. Plug in a USB-C cable connected to a power source, whether that is a power bank, wall charger or laptop, and it automatically compresses your clothes. There is no separate pump to carry.
Do I need batteries or to charge it?
No. The pump is powered directly over USB-C. There are no batteries inside and nothing to charge. It works whenever it has power and stops when you unplug. No charge cycles and no battery degradation.
Can I take it on a plane?
Yes. Because there is no internal lithium battery, the Trvlr Vacuum Bag is fully compliant for both carry-on and checked luggage on all airlines worldwide.
How much clothing can it fit?
The 20L bag compresses up to 10+ days of clothing, saving up to 60% of the original volume. Exact capacity depends on the type of clothing, but most travellers find it fits an entire trip's worth.
Is it waterproof?
Yes. The TPU material is fully waterproof and odour-proof. It protects your clothes from spills, moisture and unwanted smells, and doubles as a dirty laundry separator on the way home.
Does it come with a cable?
Yes. A USB-C cable is in the box. Any standard USB-C cable will work too, so if you lose it, the one from your phone or power bank does the job.
Can I power it from a power bank?
Yes. Any USB-C power bank works, which means you can re-compress the bag mid-trip without needing a wall socket.
Will my clothes come out creased?
Compression packing will add some creasing, the same as any vacuum bag. Folding neatly rather than stuffing, and packing it a little less tightly, both help. It is best suited to casual clothing, knitwear and activewear rather than formal shirts.

The Trvlr Vacuum Bag user manual and setup guide will be available via the video above once published. In the meantime, the How To Use steps at the top of this page cover packing, sealing and compressing.
Troubleshooting
The pump doesn't start when I plug it in
-
Check the power source. The pump needs 5V at up to 2A over USB-C. Try a different wall charger, power bank or laptop port.
-
Try a different cable. Some very thin or charge-only cables do not carry enough current. Use the included cable, or the one that came with a phone or power bank.
-
Make sure the plug is seated fully. The USB-C port sits inside the pump housing on the front of the bag. Push the cable in until it stops.
-
Check the power bank is on. Some power banks need a button press to start supplying power, and some switch off automatically if they think nothing is drawing current.
The bag won't compress, or air leaks back in
-
Check the zipper is fully closed. This is the most common cause. Run your fingers along the whole 47cm length and make sure both ends are sealed, especially the last centimetre where the slider stops.
-
Clear the zipper track. A thread, hair or grain of sand caught in the seal will let air through. Wipe the track with a dry cloth and close it again.
-
Don't overfill. If the bag is packed so full that the zipper is under strain, it will not seal properly. Take a few items out and try again.
-
Keep the cable plugged in until it is firm. Unplugging too early leaves air behind.
It compresses but slowly loses air over the trip
-
Re-check the seal. A partially closed zipper will hold at first and then slowly let air back in. Open and reseal it carefully.
-
Look for a puncture. Sharp items packed inside, or against the outside of the bag, can pierce the TPU. Check around any hard objects like belt buckles, shoes or toiletry bottles.
-
Re-compress on arrival. If you have a power bank with you, plug it in for a few seconds to pull the bag tight again. The pump works anywhere there is USB-C power.
The pump is noisy
Some noise is normal. It is a small electric pump moving a lot of air quickly, and it only runs for the few seconds it takes to compress the bag.
The pump gets warm
A little warmth after a compression cycle is normal. If it becomes hot to the touch, unplug it and let it cool before using it again. If the pump is running for a long time without the bag getting firm, stop and check the seal rather than leaving it plugged in.
The zipper is hard to close
-
Empty it a little. An overfilled bag pulls the two sides of the zipper apart and makes it stiff.
-
Close it in one smooth pass. Pinch the two sides together just ahead of the slider as you go.
-
Keep the track clean. Dust and lint build up in the seal over time. Wipe it with a damp cloth and let it dry fully before packing.
