Description & How To Use
Meet the Trvlr Lock, the keyless padlock that opens with just your fingerprint. No keys to lose at the airport, no codes to forget at the gym and no app to download. Touch the sensor and you are in, in under a second.
Unlock In An Instant
Scan your finger and the Trvlr Lock opens in under a second. Nothing to remember, nothing to carry.
Designed For Sharing
Store up to 20 fingerprints, so the people you trust can open it too. No shared codes and no copied keys.
Power That Lasts
One full charge gives you up to 1,000 unlocks or 6 months on standby. When it does need a top up, it charges over USB-C in 1 to 2 hours.
Built For The Journey
Zinc alloy and stainless steel construction with an IP54 rating, so rain, dust and the knocks of baggage handling are not a problem.
Fits Almost Anything
The 4mm shackle fits standard lock points on suitcases, backpacks, gym and school lockers, lunchboxes, gear bags, sheds and tool boxes.
How To Use
- Charge the Trvlr Lock fully before first use. Plug the included USB-C cable into the port at the base of the lock. The LED stays solid red while charging and turns off when full.
- Register your fingerprint. Press the same finger on the sensor 10 times in a row, slightly shifting the angle each time, until the LED turns green.
- To add another person, hold the sensor with an already registered finger for about 5 seconds until the LED turns blue, then press the new finger 10 times in a row until the LED turns green. Repeat for up to 20 fingerprints.
- To unlock, rest a registered finger flat on the sensor. The shackle pops open in under a second.
- To lock, push the shackle back down until it clicks.

FAQ's
How do I add a fingerprint?
Hold the sensor with an already registered finger for about 5 seconds until the LED turns blue, then press your new finger 10 times in a row until the LED turns green. You can store up to 20 fingerprints in total.
How many fingerprints can it store?
Up to 20. That is plenty for the whole family or a travelling group.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 6 months on standby, or around 1,000 unlocks per full charge.
How do I charge the Trvlr Lock?
Plug a USB-C cable into the port at the base of the lock. A full charge takes 1 to 2 hours. The LED stays solid red while charging and turns off when full.
Will it fit my suitcase, gym locker or backpack?
Yes. The 4mm shackle fits most standard lock points on suitcases, backpacks, gym lockers, school lockers and lunchboxes.
What happens if the battery dies while it's locked?
The LED starts blinking red as a low battery warning well before the battery runs out, so you get plenty of notice to top it up. If you see the red blink, charge it at the next opportunity rather than waiting.
Is the Trvlr Lock TSA approved for international flights?
No. The battery is well within airline limits, but TSA agents in the US may cut non-TSA locks during checked baggage inspection. It is best used for daily carry, gym lockers and travel outside US checked baggage.
Is it waterproof?
It is IP54 rated, which means it handles rain, splashes and dust without an issue. It is not designed to be submerged, so keep it out of the pool.
Do I need an app or Bluetooth?
No. The Trvlr Lock works entirely on its own. There is nothing to download, pair or connect.
Can I use the same finger on more than one lock?
Yes. If you have a 2-Pack or 3-Pack, register your fingerprint on each lock separately. Fingerprints are stored on the lock itself, not shared between them.
User Manual
The Trvlr Lock user manual and setup guide will be available via the video above once published. In the meantime, the How To Use steps at the top of this page cover registration, unlocking and charging.
Troubleshooting
The lock won't recognise my fingerprint
-
Dry, wet or dirty fingers. The sensor needs a clean, dry finger. Wipe your finger and the sensor and try again. Very dry or wrinkled skin after swimming or a shower can also cause misreads.
-
Cover the sensor fully. Rest your finger flat and centred on the sensor rather than using just the tip or the edge.
-
Register the finger properly. During setup the finger needs to be pressed 10 times, shifting the angle slightly each time, until the LED turns green. If you rushed it, register the same finger again as a new entry so the lock has a better sample.
-
Register more than one finger. Adding a second finger, or the same finger a second time, gives you a backup if one reading is playing up.
-
Check the battery. If the LED is blinking red, charge the lock before troubleshooting further.
The LED is blinking red
That is the low battery warning. Plug in the included USB-C cable and charge for 1 to 2 hours. The LED will show solid red while charging and turn off when full.
It won't charge, or the LED doesn't light up when plugged in
-
Try a different cable and wall plug. Use a standard USB-C cable and a USB wall charger rather than a laptop port.
-
Check the port. Look for lint or debris in the USB-C port at the base of the lock and clear it gently with a dry toothpick.
-
Give it a few minutes. A fully drained battery may not show any lights straight away.
I can't add a new fingerprint
-
Start with a registered finger. Adding a new print only works after you hold the sensor with an already registered finger for about 5 seconds and the LED turns blue.
-
Keep pressing until green. The new finger needs 10 presses in a row. If the LED doesn't turn green, wait a moment and start the process again from the beginning.
-
You may be at the limit. The lock holds 20 fingerprints. If you have hit that, you will need to clear existing prints before adding more.
The shackle won't close or feels stiff
-
Push it straight down until it clicks. The shackle needs to seat fully to lock.
-
Check for grit. Sand or dirt in the shackle holes after travel can make it stiff. Wipe it out with a dry cloth.
Someone else's finger opens the lock
Only registered fingerprints can open the Trvlr Lock. If a family member or friend can open it, their finger was registered at some point, most likely while adding prints as a group. Remove their print or reset the lock and re-register only the fingers you want.
