CCC/ 3C Certification in China

Are SnapWireless PowerPacks CCC certified? Our PowerPacks are fully tested and approved with global safety certifications, but they are not yet CCC certified. CCC (China Compulsory Certification) is a new regulation that only applies to mainland China. While your PowerPack is completely safe to use worldwide, please be aware that if you travel to China there is a risk it may be confiscated at the border due to the lack of CCC printing. We are currently in the process of obtaining CCC certification, but until then we recommend keeping this in mind when travelling.

Travelling With Power Banks: Updated Airline Rules for 2025

Australia’s major airlines have introduced new rules for carrying power banks on flights. These changes apply from December 2025 and affect Qantas, Jetstar, QantasLink and Virgin Australia. Capacity Limit Each power bank must be 160Wh or below. All SnapWireless power banks fall well within this limit. Carry-On Only Power banks must be placed in your carry-on luggage. They cannot be stored in checked baggage under any circumstances. Use During Flights Power banks cannot be used or charged while onboard. Where to Store Them Power banks should remain easily accessible during your flight. Virgin Australia specifically requires them to be kept under the seat or in the seat pocket rather than in overhead lockers. Why These Rules Have Changed These updates are part of the airlines’ regular safety improvements and bring their policies in line with international guidelines.
